ÄATA LOSS PROBLEMS IN ÒÅÕ AND/OR ÒÁÍÃARD ON A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF 64/128 COMPUTERS. ÄATA LOSS WOULD OCCUR WHEN THE COMPUTER WAS POWERED OFF AND ON. ÒEVISION  - ÔWO MODIFICATIONS WERE ADDED TO THE ORIGINAL ÒÁÍÌINK BOARD TO CREATE THIS REVISION. ÓERIAL NUMBER/REVISION LEVEL STICKERS WERE ALSO ADDED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CASE. 1. ÅLIMINATED MOST PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE TIMING VARIATIONS FOUND ON PARTICULAR 64/128 COMPUTERS. ÔHIS MODIFICATION REQUIRED THE ADDITION OF THE ÈÉÒÁÍ JUMPER CLIP FOR ALL 64 MODEL COMPUTERS. 2. ÅLIMINATED THE MAJORITY OF DATA LOSS PROBLEMS BY ADDING A TIME DELAY NETWORK TO THE CLOCK SWITCHING CIRCUIT. ÐROBLEMS STILL REMAINING IN REVISION Â: 1. ÌOCKUPS AND ERRATIC OPERATIONS ON PARTICULAR 64Ã/128 COMPUTERS (MAINLY WHEN USED WITH AN ÒÅÕ IN ÄÉÒÅÃÔ MODE). 2. ÄATA LOSS ON POWER DOWN/UP ON PARTICULAR 64à AND EARLY Ã64 COMPUTERS (POSSIBLY ON A SMALL NUMBER OF Ã128/128Ä COMPUTERS AS WELL). ÒEVISION à - ÏNE MODIFICATION WAS INCLUDED IN REVISION Ã. 1. ÄATA BUS BUFFERING RESISTORS WERE INCREASED FROM 47 TO 100 OHMS. ÔHIS WAS DONE TO HELP ENSURE LONG TERM RELIABILITY, ALTHOUGH TO DATE NO PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN FOUND RELATED TO THE USE OF THE 47 OHM RESISTORS. ÔHIS MODIFICATION HAD NO EFFECT ON THE REMAINING TIMING AND DATA LOSS PROBLEMS. ÒEVISION Ä - ÏNE MODIFICATION ADDED FOR LOCKUP PROBLEMS. 1. ÒÌ-701037 ÇÁÌ (Õ2) WAS MODIFIED TO HELP ELIMINATE LOCKUP PROBLEMS WITH ÒÅÕ'S IN DIRECT MODE ON 64à COMPUTERS. ÓOME LOCKUP PROBLEMS WITH PARTICULAR 64à COMPUTERS (AND POSSIBLY SOME Ã128'S) STILL REMAINED, DUE TO A GLITCH IN THE COMPUTER'S É/Ï2 SIGNAL, ALONG WITH A SMALL NUMBER OF DATA RETENTION PROBLEMS. ÐOWER DOWN/UP DATA LOSS PROBLEMS FIXED BY INCREASING THE TIME OF THE DELAY NETWORK AND BY ADDING TWO OTHER SMALL MODS. 3. ÒÁÍÃARD DATA LOSS PROBLEMS RELATED TO ÒÅÕ NOISE (VERY RARE) FIXED BY MAKING A CHANGE TO THE ÒÁÍÃARD ÇÁÌ (ÒÌ-701102). 4. ÉNTERMITTENT LOCKUPS DURING ÒÅÕ TRANSFERS (RARE PROBLEM, MAINLY IN 128 ÓÌÏ× MODE) FIXED BY ADDING TWO RESISTORS TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE BOARD. 5. ÉNTERRUPTS WERE NOT BEING RE-ENABLED IN CERTAIN INSTANCES, CAUSING LOCKUPS AND MISSING CURSOR IN CERTAIN PROGRAMS WHEN USER INPUT WAS REQUESTED. 9. 1581 SUB-PARTITIONS: ÂÁÍ WAS NOT BEING WRITTEN AFTER A 1581 SUB-PARTITION WAS CREATED, CAUSING DATA CORRUPTION PROBLEMS WHEN FILES WERE LATER WRITTEN TO THE SUB-PARTITION. ÂÁÍ IS NOW BEING UPDATED PROPERLY. 10. ÂÏÏÔ ÆÉÌÅÎÁÍÅ BUG HAS BEEN FIXED. ×OULD SHOW UP AS A ÂÒÅÁË OR LOCKUP IF BOOTING FROM A NON-FAST-SERIAL DEVICE (ÒÁÍÌINK, ÒÁÍÄRIVE, ÈÄ IN PARALLEL MODE, 1541). 11. ÉNTERMITTANT ÂÒÅÁË OR LOCKUP DURING LOADS FROM ÒÅÕ ÒÁÍ (128 ÆÁÓÔ MODE) HAS BEEN FIXED. 12. ÐRINTING PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN FIXED. ÄEPENDING ON THE PROGRAM, DATA WOULD EITHER NOT BE PRINTED, OR SYSTEM WOULD LOCK UP. 13. ÁÐÐÅÎÄ PROBLEM WITH ÒÁÍÌINK/ÒÁÍÄRIVE FILES HAS BEEN FIXED. ÔHE NUMBER OF BLOCKS SHOWN FOR A FILE AFTER IT HAS BEEN APPENDED TO IS NOW BEING UPDATED PROPERLY. 14. ÕÊ COMMAND PARTITION TABLE UPDATTE BUG HAS BEEN FIXED. ÔHIS WOULD SOMETIMES CAUSE AN IMPROPERLY FORMATTED PARTITION IF A PARTITION WAS DELETED AND THEN RE-CREATED AS A DIFFERENT TYPE IN ÒÁÍ-ÔÏÏÌÓ. 15. ÂUG WITH OPENING TOO MANY ÒÅÌ FILES HAS BEEN FIXED. ÉF NOT ENOUGH BUFFERS WERE AVAILABLE WHEN A ÒÅÌ FILE WAS OPENED, THE SYSTEM WOULD CORRUPT THE FILE TABLES (IN MEMORY) TO THE POINT THAT ANY OTHER OPEN FILES WOULD NOT BE ACCESSABLE. ÖERSION 1.32 1.
