Hmmm having to make a new model would make the project take a lot longer. On average (to the best of my knowledge) it takes a decent modeller about 2 months to make a good model (about the same time for a kick ass map). Plus you would have to go out and find someone capable of doing the modelling and willing to do it for your mod only...
my only other 'real' gripe is the newbie base of players. I fully understand that you do not want to add 100 new binds and i truly discourage this. But you need to find someway to make it easier for the newbies to understand what needs to be done. I mean i've got people who get on my server and download all the files directly off the server. They dont get the .cfg files to bind their keys and since they downloaded all the files already they dont want to download them all again just to get those .cfg files. Im not sure what you could do to help this. But to make the MOTD appear on the screen itself without any other menus (hint hint....like the Lithium MOTD) i think that would help alot. The server admins could then put a small selection of the most used binds for the newbies to read. (like flares, flashlight and zoom for pred) This would help them ease into the game and to help out the server admins. It would also make the mod more popular because you dont have to read 15 different manuals to learn how to play the game.
