Have you tried the Quad/IR? If not, do so.
A true "night vision" would give the pred' way to much power to wander the map quickly and slaughter all. With IR it -needs- it own flashlight somewhat and gives marines the chance to bag it.
At the start of IR, we considered taking it back out. Some of us can get around a map pretty decently without a light so the first coupla times with this marines got slaughter'd badly. But once they realise IR is "lose" they change thier game plans. Just gets some getting use to. And it helps marines alot too.
